The affordable rates were a great advantage, especially during the busy tourist season. the cleanliness of the room was also a positive aspect. the staff was friendly and always willing to help.
The building appeared old, dirty, and poorly maintained. There seemed to be a lack of investment in cleaning and upkeep, as the rooms were dusty and the washrooms were not very clean.

My recent stay at the Arlington was a pleasant surprise. Despite the clogging issue with the showers mentioned in the database reviews, I found the hostel setup to be cozy and comfortable. The historical building added a unique touch to the experience. Although the water pressure in the shower was not the best, it was manageable. The location was also a highlight, with beautiful surroundings and a peaceful atmosphere.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, offering tips and providing a loaned road map for my explorations. The bed in my room was surprisingly comfortable, and I also appreciated the fan provided. The location was ideal, with a close drive to Algonquin park and plenty of backwater roads to discover.
The cleanliness of the kitchen left something to be desired, although it wasn't terrible. there was a lack of information on the website about the availability of food and coffee during different seasons.
